Project Overview

As part of the high-profile Godington East and West Viaducts project in Oxfordshire, EKFB required a durable, reliable, and safety-conscious decking solution to be installed above and between precast W9 concrete beams. With structural complexity and logistical constraints at the forefront, the solution needed to meet demanding specifications without compromising on efficiency or sustainability.

Mekina was selected to supply its innovative Mek-Dek Lite panels, providing a high-quality permanent formwork solution that met and exceeded project expectations. The project involved the installation of 240 Mek-Dek Lite panels which were installed above the W9 precast beams. And an additional 180 panels were fitted between the beams, forming a continuous, secure, and load-bearing surface.
